Job Description
Directly contribute to the design, build, deployment and transition of cyber security solutions aligned with recognized best practice, Defence security policies, principles and frameworks.
Work with internal and external technical teams to ensure integration and operation of cyber security tools with all ICT services in the Defence stack.
Conduct set-to-work activities and support remediation of cyber toolsets on Defence systems.
Author, review, maintain and contribute to Solution Designs, Standard Operating Procedures, As-Built-As-Configured and other required documentation artefacts.
Required skills and experience
Experience working as a Security Technician within the Defence environment.
Demonstrated experience designing, implementing and supporting cyber toolsets on large scale, deployable systems operating in low bandwidth, geographically dispersed environments.
Demonstrated experience and knowledge in applying cyber-security controls and practices aligned to zero-trust architecture principles.
Strong knowledge and experience deploying and integrating Carbon Black Application Control, FortiClient/FortiEMS and Ivanti Device and Application Control.
Strong knowledge of security principles including Zero trust model, Tiered model, Security boundaries.
Ability to work independently and part of a team, good communication, organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Desirable skills and experience
Knowledge and experience of Defence systems.
Knowledge and experience of the security threat landscape and related security mitigations.

Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF)
US National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)
